The more I procrastinate…

…the bigger the pile on my desk becomes.  Coincidence?  I doubt it.  As usual I have about a half dozen different things I want to get started on, am in the process of working on, or just can’t seem to finish.  As of late I’ve had three commissioned paintings!  It’s been awesome working with people getting their input on what they want and seeing how happy they are with the end result.  Especially when you know the painting is intended as a gift for someone special – and they chose me to help create that gift.  So much fun.  Anyway, until I can reveal the commissioned pieces…here’s a little sneak peek at what’s been keeping me busy this week.

kell~ love the stitchery or embroidery. the cupcake saying reminds me of the kid at knotts that said, thanks cupcake or that’s great cupcake. idk, but i think cupcake was used in his response to what you said and i just remember you getting a kick out of it. can’t wait to see the finished product for betty’s gift. Which, btw I also need to email or call you about a gift for my madre. her 50th is next month. i want to giver her something special, so of course i must go to the best! :)

I don’t remember that kid but I’m sure that doesn’t surprise you :) I think you’ll need to tell me the story again.

You have so much talent! You definitely have a future with your art. Keep pursuing it! Have you thought of designing some embroidery patterns. There are lots of your Mom’s online friends who would scoop these up quick!! Hint – hint!!

Thanks Conni, actually that Red Riding Hood one above was designed for exactly that reason!!! This was my sample to include in the packaging. There will be approx. 4 or so designs in the pattern and I’m sure it will be announced both here and on my mom’s blog when they are ready :)

Kelley, I know how you feel, you are definately not alone. One thing I find that works pretty well is to make a list on the most important thinks you want to get done (between 5-8) then number them by the most important. If nothing else you will work on the most important things first. Hope this helps. I love your work.
